The story behind the name Artifakt

From the very beginning, we had the ambition to make a global product available internationally. It was therefore necessary to find a short, simple name, pronounceable in several languages and if possible not widely used on the web. After several weeks, we finally chose 'Artifakt'.

Artifakt comes from the word 'artifact' (with a 'k' instead of the 'c' for reasons of availability of the word on the web). In computer science, an artifact is the result obtained by man through the use of tools or principles related to the fields of computer science.
